Curriculum
Love one another, as I have loved you.
We Care. We Share. We Dare.
Intent
In our loving, Christian-value based school, we nurture creative and independent life-long learners, making the most of our rural surroundings to encourage children to grow in an aspirational environment. We offer an inclusive curriculum allowing all to reach their full potential, respecting the diversity within our community and beyond, becoming confident citizens of the future. We pride ourselves in our skill in tailoring the curriculum to allow children of all abilities to feel that they are a valued and respected part of our community.
We care, ensuring each of us flourish through love and respect. We encourage good manners (these are based on consideration for others), a caring, nurturing school for all and a strong ethic of service.
We share our love and support each other in all our endeavours. This applies to our learning, sports, creativity and in our dealings with each other in and out of school.
We dare to learn without fear, dare to take initiatives, believe in ourselves and therefore succeed in our education and to make a positive difference through love,
Through love we care, we share and we dare.

Implementation
Our 2 year rolling programme ensures full curriculum coverage, inspired by high quality texts which take the children on a journey around the world and into the past.
We use the rich opportunities afforded to us in the locality of the school to enhance our curriculum beyond the classroom.
As a Church of England school, we follow the teachings of Jesus, using the Warwickshire Agreed Syllabus as the basis for our RE curriculum.
Our curriculum promotes strong relationships, celebrating diversity and promoting British values.
Teachers carefully plan ‘Wow’ activities such as trips and visitors, giving the children opportunities outside the national curriculum.
Impact
Hampton Lucy School is a loving family. Where adults and children show their love through their mutual support and care for one another.
Children enjoy coming to school and embrace new challenges; promoting a ‘go-for-it’ attitude towards learning. Children are respectful, resilient and take responsibility for themselves and their actions.
We pride ourselves on our supportive open-door policy, where parents and children alike know they can share worries and turn to us in difficult times.
We have aspirational expectations for our children. Enabling our children to go forward in their education with solid building blocks on which to base a determination to succeed.
At Hampton Lucy we:
- Develop head and body: What we learn.
- Develop our hearts and character: Who we are.
- Develop our actions and attitudes: How we live and learn.
- Develop our moral compass: Where we fit in the world.
